Rain Returns to Bowling Green: Storm Chances Bring Relief to Spring Drought
Happy Monday, Bowling Green! We have been facing an unusually dry Spring season up to this point, with Warren County currently in a severe drought. However, looking towards the next few days, we might be starting to see those long-awaited Spring showers.
Today, the main focus is on the 60% chance of rain and potential thunderstorms until around noon. Wind gusts can get as high as 20 mph, with around a tenth of an inch of rain. Make sure to keep an umbrella with you just in case. Following the showers, we expect the high to reach the lower 80s in the afternoon with a partly sunny sky. In the night, lows will approach the mid 60s, with a slight chance for showers and isolated thunderstorms overnight into Tuesday.
The chance for thunderstorms will last until around 7:00 AM on Tuesday morning, bringing gusty winds and a slight chance of precipitation. Afterwards, it will be mostly sunny with highs approaching the upper 80s. It remains relatively calm into the night, with a low in the mid 60s.
Wednesday will be a calm, mostly sunny day with a high in the mid 80s. However, there is a 30% chance of showers Wednesday night into Thursday, with a low in the mid 60s.
Into Thursday, there is a 60% chance of rain showers, with the potential for thunderstorms as well. The rest of the day will continue to stay cloudy, with a high in the low 80s. The chance for showers will continue into Thursday night, with a low around 60.
