Survivor of Derby Week Trafficking Now Helps Others Escape
As the Kentucky Derby approaches, one Louisville woman is sharing a side of the event many don’t see. Summer Dickerson says she was trafficked during Derby week and taken to Millionaire’s Row. Now a survivor, she’s working to help others escape, posting hotline numbers and raising awareness across the city. Advocates say major events can increase the risk of trafficking, and recognizing the signs can save lives.
