Artemis II Sends Four Astronauts on a Trip Around the Moon
NASA has launched people into deep space for the first time in 50 years. The Artemis II mission is sending 3 Americans and 1 Canadian farther in space than ever before. The flight is testing a new spacecraft and taking the crew around the moon and then back to Earth. Artemis II is the first crewed mission for Nasa since the Apollo era, with the last mission taking place in 1972. The spacecraft launched to space aboard the NASA Space Launch System rocket and will travel 250,000 miles over four days to reach the moon.
