SOUTH WARREN SPARTANS CONQUER THE DIAMOND

(BOWLING GREEN, Ky.) — With a veteran-laden roster returning to the diamond, South Warren head coach Chris Gage knew the 2025 season presented a golden opportunity to reclaim KHSAA 4th Region supremacy. Led by standout talents such as Ethan Reynolds (Western Kentucky signee), reigning Kentucky Player of the Year Griffin Rardin (Shelton State signee), and veteran ace Mikey Coradini (Roane State commit), the Spartans entered the season with experience, talent, and unfinished business.
After a heartbreaking first-round exit in the 2024 region tournament, South Warren’s senior-heavy squad — featuring eight battle-tested seniors — returned with one mission: redemption. This group had never experienced a losing season and had no intention of starting now. Over their four-year careers, the Spartans’ “Super Eight” compiled an impressive 64% winning percentage — a testament to their consistency and competitive fire.
Echoing the success seen on the hardwood with the Franklin-Simpson Lady Cats — who captured the 4th Region girls’ basketball crown with a similarly experienced core — South Warren’s baseball program leaned on its own group of seasoned “dawgs.” Under Coach Gage’s leadership, that experience paid off. The Spartans captured their sixth regional title during Gage’s tenure, delivering the senior class its second championship in three years and punching their ticket back to the KHSAA State Tournament.
