Spring is in the air: Warmer Temperatures and Chances for Thunderstorms

Happy Wednesday, Hilltoppers! Meteorological spring kicked off last Sunday with mild temperatures in the mid 60s. The chance of rain and even a few rumbles of thunder will continue today with an expected high temperature of 77 and expected low of 63. All of Warren County, including Bowling Green, is under a general risk of thunderstorms today. While that means severe weather is not expected, any storm could produce heavy rain, gusty winds, and/or small hail. As we look ahead to the rest of the week, rainy conditions will continue with Saturday bringing the highest confidence for thunderstorm activity. While severe weather is not expected, a general risk of thunderstorms will continue through the remainder of the week. However, rainfall totals could exceed one inch by Sunday, which should help prevent drought development in Bowling Green. High temperatures will remain in the upper 70s, while low temperatures will stay steady in the lower 60s.
