Good morning hilltoppers! We are in for an extremely above average February day here on the hill. Starting off the day strong with some light showers that should clear out by this afternoon. However, cloud cover will remain strong throughout the day and into the overnight. The clouds won’t keep us from warning up though as temperatures have already reached 59 degrees this morning and will peak at around 67 degrees. It’s too early to tell but today may bring a new record warm minimum temperature for Bowling Green.

Unseasonably warm weather will hold tomorrow as the chance for thunderstorms, a few of which may be severe, enter area. Temps will feel like spring has arrived with lows in the 50’s and highs in the mid 70’s. Our shot at rain begins around 3pm and will persist into the overnight hours. Hilltoppers’s can expect some garden variety thunderstorms and some possible strong gusts of wind later into the evening hours.

After the rain temperatures wont cool down much as Friday looks to keep lows in the 50’s and highs in the 60’s. However the weekend should see us returning to more seasonable temps by Monday.
