Rainy and Cool Week Ahead, but Sunshine Returns for Homecoming
It’s a damp start to the week here in Bowling Green, with steady rain and cool conditions setting the tone for the next few days. Temperatures will hover around the low to mid-50s through much of today, with an 80% chance of rain continuing into the evening. Winds will stay light out of the east at 5–10 mph, keeping the air cool and misty across campus.
Off-and-on showers will persist through midweek as a system keeps moisture over the region. Highs will range from the low 50s to low 60s, with cloudy skies and cool mornings in the upper 40s to low 50s. Umbrellas will stay in use, as light but consistent rainfall is likely each day, especially during the morning and early afternoon hours.
By Friday, the system finally exits to the east, allowing sunshine to return and highs to rebound to near 60°F just in time for Homecoming festivities across WKU’s campus! The weekend looks much more pleasant, with Saturday bringing partly cloudy skies and highs in the low 60s. Light winds and dry air will make for a comfortable fall feel as the Hilltoppers celebrate outdoors.
