(BOWLING GREEN, Ky.) — The 4th Region is buzzing with movement this offseason — not just among on the roster charts. On the girls’ side, the changes have been coming fast. On June 13th, Warren Central High School officially named Timothy Paige as the next head coach of its girls’ basketball program, effective immediately.

Anyone familiar with the area knows Coach Paige and his deep ties to Warren Central. It’s where he began his basketball journey as a player. Paige suited up as a freshman for the Dragons before suffering a devastating injury — tearing his patellar tendon and breaking his tibia in a single game. The injury sidelined him for the remainder of his freshman year and his entire sophomore season.

His return as a junior was a difference-maker. That year, Warren Central captured the 4th Region championship and made a run to the Elite Eight at the KHSAA Boys Sweet 16 State Tournament. For his senior season, Paige transferred just 40 miles up the road to Caverna High School, where he helped lead the program to both an All “A” Region title and an 18th District championship.

While Paige showed promise as a player, it was through the game that he discovered his true passion: coaching.

He began his coaching career at the middle school level, spending two years at Moss Middle before joining the staff at South Warren. Over multiple seasons, he built one of the region’s most consistent programs. From the sidelines, Paige guided South Warren to a remarkable 113–31 record, capturing three district championships and earning a reputation as one of the region’s rising coaching stars.

Now back where it all began, Coach Timothy Paige brings energy, experience, and a proven track record of success to a Warren Central girls basketball program ready for a resurgence.

With deep community ties and a passion for developing talent, Paige has been widely recognized as a coach to watch in the years to come. If his past success is any indication, the Lady Dragons are in good hands, and the rest of the 4th Region should be on high alert.
